John is Belper born and bred, so I know what issues and concerns residents have because the same things concern him. He has worked in Belper all of his life and is proud of the town and its people. John have a proven track record of representing the people of Belper. He has served as a Councillor for nearly 30 years, working on projects like Belper in Bloom, park improvements and litter picks to keep our town cleaner, tidier and more attractive.

In 2016, John was honoured to be awarded an MBE for services to the community.  John was elected to Derbyshire County Council in May 2021 serving on the authority's I&S Places and Audit Committees.
