Jean Wharmby, Derbyshire County Councillor for Glossop and Charlesworth has donated a grant of £500 from her member's community leadership fund to support Mentell and their work during the COVID-19 lockdown.

Mentell is an organization that allows men to find a safe and confidential space that offers an opportunity to talk, free from advice and judgement. The only requirement is that the person has a desire to make progress.

Information about the group can be found via the website https://www.mentell.org.uk/ or via the information stands and beer mats that are currently being distributed in Glossopdale pubs during the Turn Your Bar Blue for Mentell campaign. Mental has people attending from across the High Peak not just Glossopdale.

Thankfully Mentell were in a position to move to on line circles almost immediately when COVID-19 lockdown came about meaning they have carried on in their vital work supporting vulnerable men in the community.
