Long Eaton 50 plus Forum get Grant assistance from Derbyshire County Council
The Long Eaton & District 50plus Forum were delighted to receive a generous grant award of £910 from Derbyshire County Councillor Kewal Singh Athwal to enhance their IT facilities. The award was used to purchase a video projector and laptop to use in their Open Forum meetings.
Peter Wearn, Chairman of the Forum said;
"Over the 15 year the forum has been in existence, numbers attending have grown while the facilities at the Long Eaton Town Hall Council Chamber have remained unchanged. However, with the help of this new equipment, the forum will be well set up to continue to provide these popular meetings for older people in our community once the current COVID - 19 restrictions have been lifted"
DCC Councillor Kewal Singh Athwal said;
"I am aware of the excellent work of the Forum and I was delighted that I could assist with financial grant funding of £910 from the Members Community Leadership Scheme to enable the purchase of the laptop and projector"
