DCC Cllrs Kewal Singh Athwal, Garry Hickton and Robert Parkinson were approached by Barbara James of Long Eaton Rotary Club who requested grant funding of £750 to assist the club with their annual FREE Family Fun Day at West Park

Rotarian Barbara James said;

“She was delighted to receive the £750 Grant for the FreeFamily Fun Day from Derbyshire County Councillors Kewal Athwal, Robert Parkinson and Gary Hickton.  The money went towards giving the residents of Long Eaton and surrounding areas a totally free afternoon out.  The sun came out and so did hundreds of people, out to enjoy a wonderful FREE fun day, with many attractions. The West Park Events field really came to life with a mini ferris wheel, waltzer, climbing wall, many other activities and lots of free food and free smoothies”

Derbyshire County Councillor Kewal Singh Athwal Said;

“We are delighted to have been able to support Long Eaton Rotary Club with this £750 Grant from the Derbyshire County Council MCLS to facilitate the FREE Family Fun Day at West Park. We are aware that many local youngsters really enjoyed the many attractions and rides on offer ”
